Research and prototypes aimed at users on entry-level Android phones with intermittent connectivity: proof-of-delivery flows, supplier ratings, simple invoicing in local currency, and offline-first record keeping that survives a dropped signal.
Supply-chain pilots on distributed ledgers
Early pilot work on supply-chain contracts that use distributed ledgers — proof-of-handover between hauliers, shipment escrow held by trusted parties, and supplier reputation that travels across borders. The scope is logistics, not finance: bills of lading, not balances.
Adjacent technical consultancy
Secure cloud architecture and infrastructure advisory for UK and EU business clients, invoiced in GBP and EUR. The consultancy income sustains the research programme and keeps the company grounded in commercial reality.
Why this matters
A small trader in Lagos, a vegetable grower outside Nairobi, a textile workshop in Dhaka — they keep their books in notebooks and WhatsApp screenshots, route payments through cash and informal agents, and pay five to fifteen per cent in conversion premiums to access the simplest digital tools. Western fintech and logistics platforms are not built for them, and the tooling that does exist is fragmented and short-lived. There is space for patient, locally-grounded research into what actually works at that scale, in those conditions, on those phones.
What we do not do
Juna Ecosystem is not a digital-currency project. We do not issue, sell, exchange, hold custody of, or facilitate trading in any digital currency, digital token, non-fungible digital collectible, or other digital asset. We do not provide lending, validator-deposit services, custodial escrow of customer funds, decentralised-finance products, initial coin offerings, or any other regulated financial product. We are not a payments institution and we do not custody customer money. Distributed-ledger pilots, where they appear in our work, are bounded to supply-chain logistics — proof of delivery, shipment escrow held by trusted parties, and supplier reputation — and never to currency or financial-asset transfer.
How we work
Research-first, advisory-led, small-pilot. We publish what we learn, run a small number of field pilots at a time, and keep teams deliberately small. Juna Ecosystem is a UK-registered private limited company; the current research programme is sponsor-funded. Client revenue comes from research, advisory, and tooling engagements — no customer money flows through the company. A supporting iOS application is registered to Juna Ecosystem on the Apple App Store, in line with Apple's policy on app ownership by similarly-named companies.
